I get dropped on a worn blue sofa roughly.
This is so humiliating!
What will Shredder think?!
"Who is she?" A ginger-haired girl asks from a corner.
This must be 'April'.
Donnie thinks about her a lot.
"Hi 'April'." I say.
She jumps at the sound of her name from a stranger.
I smirk slightly.
I love messing with new people.
"Errr, this is Perianth. Mikey found her down one of the tunnels." Donnie says with a little shy giggle.
He doesn't sound so sure of himself now, does he?
"What is wrong, my sons?" A man's voice comes from behind me.
He sounds old and wise.
Not at all like I'd have imagined Hamato Yoshi.
There's no deceit in his words, no malice, nothing.
"We found a mutant in the tunnels." Raph says.
"I found her in the tunnels, sensei." Mikey corrected.
Sensei... Why aren't they bowing to him?
We are not aloud to talk to Shredder without bowing, and we can't look on his face.
I hear very quiet footsteps come round to the front of the sofa.
"Let me see your face, child."
I look up, flicking a few strands of my orange hair out of my face. I wouldn't normally comply, no way.
I don't listen to anyone but Shredder.
But... curiosity is definitley getting the better of me.
I gasp, eyes widening in shock at the face I see.
A rat?! I thought Hamato was a man.
I take a long look at him and go through his mind.
He is Hamato, but just not human anymore.
A mutant, like me, and his so called sons.
He looks at the suprise on my face curiously.
"What is wrong?"
"I wasn't expecting you to be... well, like this." I say shortly, looking down again.
It's annoying when I have to be wrong about something.
"Who could have told you otherwise?" He asks, gently prying for information which he obviously already has.
Maybe he would just like to hear it from me?
I don't know.
I keep my head down, closing myself off from them completely.
"Untie her. She may be more willing to talk if we let her be free." Splinter says, stepping back.
Leo comes over with his katana while Raph puts his hands on my shoulders.
"Get off me." I hiss.
"No. You're not escaping." He says, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
I try to wriggle away from his grasp, anger rising. "I won't try to if you just let go!"
Seriously, I've had enough of being manhandled.
"Stay still!" Raph says.
Leo cuts off the ropes and steps back cautiously.
Yeah, he should be scared.
"You're from the Foot Clan?!" He says, looking at the symbol on my uniform.
"Well, where did you think I was from? The circus?"
Honestly, they've fought us enough times to know by now.
"No wonder she wasn't expecting sensei to be a rat." Donnie looks pleased with himself.
I don't see why, it doesn't take a genius to work that one out.
"Come with me, I need to ask you some questions." Splinter says, motioning for me to follow.
I get up reluctantly, glaring at the four who were watching my ever move.
I could attack them, but Mikey has my weapons, and I'm not putting myself as a disadvantage.
Hamato leads me to a room covered in different carpets.
It smells of the training rooms at the Foot base, all wood.
But the smell of flora hits my nose and I chance a look up.
Hamato sits at the base of it, and I cautiously sit down opposite, legs crossed.
Let the questioning begin...
